‘this Site’ means the Jigsaw Mix website, at www.jigsawmix.com.
‘Personal Data’ means any personally identifiable information such as your name and email address, that can identify you as an individual.
What Personal Data We Collect
As of 24 March 2019, this Site no longer has the option to register or leave comments. Furthermore, all existing comments and user accounts have been deleted.
The only Personal Data we now collect is your IP address, as described below.
Like most websites, when this Site is accessed, our web server creates access log files. These contain your Internet Protocol (IP) address, along with the date and time you accessed each page, and the type of web browser and device that was used.
Your IP address is classed as Personal Data, because it can help identify you as an individual. Sometimes, additional information would be needed to identify you, which is held by your internet service provider (ISP). For example, if you have a dynamic IP address which changes periodically, your ISP will usually have a record of who was using that address on a particular occasion.
Why We Need Your Personal Data
We collect data in the form of access log files in order to monitor use of this Site and to identify security threats.
The legal basis for processing Personal Data in relation to site security is our legitimate interests, and the legitimate interests of our users, in ensuring the security and integrity of this Site.
What We Do With Your Personal Data
The access log files which contain your IP address are stored securely by our web hosting provider, 1&1 IONOS.
We will not sell or rent your Personal Data to third parties, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
We will share your Personal Data if we are required to do so by law – for example, by court order, or to prevent fraud or other crime.
How Long We Keep Your Personal Data
Our web hosting provider automatically deletes access log files (which contain your IP address) after 9 weeks.
In rare cases, some access log data may be kept longer if there is a legitimate reason, such as a security breach.
Where Your Personal Data Is Processed and Stored
The access logs are stored on 1&1 IONOS’s servers, which are presently located in Europe and the United States.
How We Protect Your Personal Data
When you use this Site, you access it via a secure connection (HTTPS).
We use a reputable web hosting provider (1&1 IONOS), who we trust to protect the access log files.
Your Right to Control Your Personal Data
You have the right to request information about your Personal Data, and to control it.
As described earlier, we only hold a very small amount of Personal Data for a short period of time, for security reasons.
We do not hold information such as names or email addresses. Therefore, it is unlikely that we can provide you with any details about your Personal Data, or that we can delete or change anything.
Please contact us if you wish to discuss this matter.
We do collect email addresses, and we do not send out email newsletters.
The only emails we send are replies to any messages that you have sent to us.
